Level 1^™ Myocardial Temperature Sensors

The Level 1 Myocardial Temperature Sensor is indicated for temperature monitoring of the myocardium, especially when using hypothermic cardioplegia. The sensor is designed for insertion directly into the myocardium.

The Level 1 Myocardial Temperature Sensor utilizes a “400” series thermistor that is placed at the tip of a 22 gauge thin wall needle. The needle is formed at a right angle to a molded plastic hub to assure better fixation with a low profile. The sensor’s lead wires are terminated by an electrical connector that facilitates interconnection with the temperature monitoring system. The lead wires are 1.8 meters (6 feet) long. The needle is electrically insulated from the lead wires. The temperature sensor is in the form of an electrically insulated “400” series thermistor.
