Temperature Probes

ICU Medical Level 1^™ Disposable Administration Sets with temperature sensors are placed into the esophagus to provide accurate continuous measurement of a patient’s core body temperature and to transmit heart and lung sounds to the anesthesia providers.

The Level 1 Esophageal/Rectal Temperature Probes are indicated where continuous patient temperature monitoring is desired. The sensors are designed for insertion into the esophagus, nasopharynx, or rectum. Temperature probes provide feedback on the core patient temperature that clinicians use for providing the patient with proper and effective diagnosis and treatment. Patients derive benefit from this through more responsive treatment and fewer complications due to fluctuations in temperature without monitoring.
