Pulmonary Artery Catheter (SvO2)

Real-time tissue oxygenation status that may help you initiate early goal-directed therapies in trauma, sepsis, congestive heart failure, and cardiac arrest patients.

  • Available with no natural rubber latex components in a variety of sizes.
  • Three wavelength technology provides proven performance.
  • May help reduce diagnostic costs.

In response to the problems and risks associated with sepsis and septic shock, ICU Medical developed the TriOx SvO2 Catheter. The TriOx exclusive three wavelength oximetry technology with digital filtration provides greater accuracy than two wavelength systems1 and may help initiate early goal-directed therapies.

The TriOx SvO2 Catheters are part of a complete line of pulmonary artery catheters offered with no natural rubber latex components in order to reduce the risk of patient latex allergy or hypersensitivity, without compromising performance.

A recent study of antilatex IgE antibodies in blood donors has shown that the prevalence of latex sensitivity may be as high as 6-12%2 or up to 37 million people in the U.S. alone.

Additional benefits of using the TriOx SvO2 Catheter:

  • Available with no natural rubber latex components in a variety of sizes and lengths.

  • Filters artifact caused by cell orientation, vessel wall reflections and changes in pH
  • Exclusive light intensity signal helps to identify proper placement of fiber-optic tip to ensuring accurate readings
  • Allows clinician to optimize oxygen supply and demand in cases of severe sepsis or septic shock

  • Reduces diagnostic costs by eliminating the need for clinical updates of hemoglobin (Hgb)
