Temperature Probes

ICU Medical Level 1^™ Disposable Administration Sets with temperature sensors are placed into the esophagus to provide accurate continuous measurement of a patient’s core body temperature and to transmit heart and lung sounds to the anesthesia providers.

The Level 1 esophageal/rectal temperature probes are indicated where continuous patient temperature monitoring is desired. The sensors are designed for insertion into the esophagus, nasopharynx, or rectum.

ICU Medical Level 1 Disposable Myocardial Temperature Sensors enable clinicians to monitor temperature changes in the septum and myocardium during open-heart surgery.

Monitoring of tympanic temperature is a well-accepted clinical procedure for the detection of hypothermic or hyperthermic conditions. The Level 1 tympanic temperature sensor is designed for atraumatic placement in the proximity of the tympanic membrane. The sensor is placed in the center of a PVC foam cylinder. Prior to insertion, the foam cylinder is squeezed and rolled to obtain a small dimension which, once the sensor is in situ, expands to its original size, making physical contact with the walls of the ear canal. The foam expansion produces two effects: It secures the sensor in place, and it prevents communication of air from outside the ear canal. The expansion results in accurate temperature measurement even when the sensor is not touching the tympanic membrane.

The Level 1^™ Normoflo irrigation fluid warmer with automatic IV pole, model H-1100 is an active medical device intended to transfer thermal energy to irrigation fluids and deliver those to the patient during clinical scenarios such as urology, gynecology and surgery procedures.

The Normoflo irrigation warming sets are disposable irrigating fluid administration sets, designed for delivering warmed irrigating fluids to the patient during surgery. The disposable sets are intended for use with Normoflo H-1129 or H1100 irrigation fluid warmers only.
