Oncology Nurse (San Clemente, California)

The Oncology Nurse:

  • Work with our Oncology Marketing department.
  • Help many more people attain better care and protect the care giver at the same time.

Requirements:

  • Currently employed as an Oncology care giver.
  • Should have extensive experience in the field (must know procedures well).
  • Must have knowledge on how other nurses get answers to their questions (knowledge of the web, Twitter, blogs, etc. would be useful).

Mechanical Inspector (Salt Lake City, Utah)

ICU Medical currently has an open position for a Mechanical Inspector, located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Mechanical Inspector must perform all types of mechanical inspections including first article of in-house and outside molded components, mold start-up inspection, critical dimensions, Engineering evaluations and mold validations. Assist QA Inspectors and Molding personnel in the interpretation of part drawings, specifications and QA standards. Assist in training of inspectors regarding dimensional inspections. Write routines for part inspections and train inspectors. Communicate verbal and written reports to QA Management, Manufacturing and Engineering (especially regarding any areas of rejection during the manufacturing process). Mold verification of pin and cavity core replacements. Maintain mechanical inspections for vendor supplied molded parts. Devise and implement efficient and accurate inspection and measurement methods.

Microbiology Laboratory Technician (Salt Lake City, Utah)

ICU Medical currently has an open position for a Microbiology Laboratory Technician, located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Microbiology Laboratory Technician performs and or coordinates biological and chemical testing related to routine product release, in-process quality testing, terminal sterilization, environmental quality, and biological safety (biocompatibility) of new products/materials for all ICU Medical products.

The successful candidate will perform a wide range of microbiological and chemical tests including bacterial enumeration and characterization, endotoxin testing, sterility testing, environmental monitoring, and minimal basic chemistry.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Revise operating procedures
  • Generate data reports
  • Perform mathematical computations
  • Conduct laboratory and sterilization validations
  • Implement new test methods

Requirements: Strong scientific writing skills and proficiency in MS Office required. Candidate must be motivated, energetic, efficient, and must work with minimal supervision. Must have a degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related science.

Electrical Engineer (Salt Lake City, Utah)

ICU Medical currently has an open position for a Electrical Engineer, located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for all technical aspects of product/process design and validation with emphasis on manufacturability and time to market. This individual must drive improvements and redesign of existing products/processes; identify cost reduction initiatives; work with vendors in identification and replacement of electronic components and provide support to manufacturing in the facility. Must have a strong hands-on approach and aggressive problem solving attitude. Must establish project schedules and complete them on time and within budget.

Requirements Include but not Limited to:

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of electronic components/properties, circuit board designs that include digital and analog circuitry, PCB layout, and fabrication processes.
  • Key technical aspects of the job include finding alternative sources for obsolete electronic components, compare data sheets and make decision as to what level of testing and circuit simulation is necessary (prototyping, analysis, test).
  • Components and PCB board level testing, and system level testing. Experience with validations and documentation requirements of the medical device industry.

Required Key Skills:

  • Circuit board design experience
  • Electronic component design experience
  • Programming experience C++, VB, Java
  • Strong understanding of Six Sigma tools (Black Belt preferred)

Desired Experience and Subject Knowledge:

In addition to familiarity with FDA QSR/ISO Regulations, applicant must have excellent analytical skills (Six-Sigma/Lean) and fundamental engineering knowledge including, stress analysis (FEA), metallurgy, polymers, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics. Understanding of AAMI and IEC 60601-1 standards. BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, MS or MBA preferred. 5-10 years Experience in the Medical Device or Electronics Industry is required.

Quality Assurance Inspector (Salt Lake City, Utah)

ICU Medical currently has an open position for a Quality Assurance Inspector, located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Quality Assurance Inspector performs visual inspection, dimensional measurements, and functional testing of incoming commodities, subassemblies, and final product. Follows standard operating procedures and abides by safety rules. Enforces GMP compliance as outlined in internal procedures. Primarily responsible for testing, inspection, and release of product, product components, and commodities. Records and reports results to provide information necessary to assure that product has been manufactured in accordance with established quality standards. Visual inspection, dimensional measurement, functional testing of medical devices. Inspection criteria accept/reject decisions; must be able to detect/call attention to non-conforming data/trends. Must be able to perform investigations related to part non conformances in cooperation with Manufacturing, Engineering and Maintenance. This is a 12 hour rotating night shift.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • One year previous experience in manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.

Mold Maker (Salt Lake City, Utah)

ICU Medical currently has an open position for a Mold Maker, located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As a Team member the Mold Maker must have the ability to fabricate, repair and maintain high precision prototype and production injection molds. Build and modify high precision prototype injection molds. Repair production injection molds. Perform preventative maintenance on production molds. Maintain shop supplies and records, such as spare tooling, perishable tooling and raw materials. Evaluate molding problems. Recommend and implement tooling modifications as corrective actions Work in other areas as required.

Major Accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain and improve existing production molds
  • Modify prototype injection molds
  • Repair molds
  • Perform preventative maintenance to molds
  • Build spare parts for existing tooling
  • Maintain shop records
  • Control shop inventory
  • Build rapid prototype single cavity molds

Education/Experience:

  • Six years minimum trade or field training, four years experience in close tolerance work.
  • Training in CAD/CAM software applications.
  • Must know how to use the appropriate precise measuring tools.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding tooling blue prints.
  • Skilled in the use of all machining equipment (mills, lathes, surface grinders).
  • Competent in the use of one of the following: Hardinge CNC lathe, Fadal CNC mill, Master CAM programming, and Agie 3 axis sinking EDM.

Tooling Engineer (Salt Lake City, Utah)

ICU Medical currently has an open position for a Plastic Tooling Engineer, located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Plastic Tooling Engineer’s qualifications include, but are not limited to: Knowledge of plastic molding processes and tooling. Two Shot experience and medical manufacturing a plus. Ability to communicate at all levels from the shop floor to Executive level in order to justify strategies and implement them effectively. Must be an effective problem solver, with ability to utilize analytical techniques to resolve conceptual issues. Must be willing to travel world wide to support company projects. Experience with Microsoft office, SolidWorks. Knowledge of Plastic flow analysis (Mold Flow or SigmaSoft) is a plus. Ability to work well under compressed time constraints. Must have a working background with QA on dimensional layouts and resolving out of spec issues. Ability to analyze dimensional reports and provide direction to part designers and tool builders as required. Must have knowledge of AQ-PQ and basic quality systems and processes.

This position is responsible to evaluate and analyze new part designs and determine the most cost effective method to produce the part and define the appropriate tooling and equipment requirements. Ability to drive DFM & DFA while still in the Design phase is required. Must be familiar with secondary operations on plastic parts including insert molding, two shot molding and assembly techniques.

Requirements include but not limited to:

  • BSME or Plastics, or a similar type degree.
  • Management experience a plus.
  • 5-10 years experience in medical device related engineering in a high-speed production environment.
  • Six sigma experience (black belt preferred).
  • PMBOK certification a plus.
